One of my favorite things to do on a daily basis is to scroll thru Tumblr quotes. There is something about finding a daily source of inspiration that I just absolutely love. Sometimes the words can be inspirational and sometimes they can have you downright all the way in your feelings. But it is the unexpected adventure of that which lay in the questions of:

  • What am I going to find today?
  • What am I going to learn today?
  • What am I going to feel...and what is that feeling going to inspire me to create?

..that is most intriguing. Because when it all comes down to it, in the end, for me everything is about learning and creating. Finding and exploring a feeling that I can express in some form whether thru a picture, a journal entry, a video, a blog post and/or even merely a conversation. As long as creation is happening, that is where I personally thrive the most. In those moments of creating you can learn so much and sometimes even discover the gold nugget of change, finding something that you need to undo or unlearn for the better!

One thing I find to be consistent in my life is change and I have grown to love and look forward to it! Even more so, I have come to honor, embrace and carry with a sense of pride how adaptable I am with change. I often come across people who are so comfortable in where they are in life good or bad that they don't bother with taking action to look any further, let alone to even dream about more.

One of my favorite books (who's title is the one thing i'm actually hesitant to share due to the fact that it's literally like a bible to me...and I feel in the wrong hands what's collectively written within the pages can be both misunderstood and misused...but I will share this bit) states:

"There are no limitations to your inner self. There are no boundaries to enclose it and deny it freedom. The inner self (some call it the soul) is the most highly motivated, powerful and conscious unit in the whole Universe."

Further on it expresses:

"God did not intend us to live in poverty, suffer ill-health or miss out on the beauties of nature. God wants you to live the good life."
"But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in Glory," ( Phil. 4:19).
"The abundance of all things around us are for us to use. You must see that the potential force within you is limitless. You must see that within you are personalities beyond your comprehension. But have faith, for the time will come when you will comprehend...Look at yourself in the mirror. Do you honestly believe that the personality you are now conscious of is all there is to the total of you? If that is what you believe, you are really walking around dead."

Now, let me explain, I am not a religious person at all. But I have always been very spiritual and in tune with the Universe. When reading books like these I often interchange the word God for Universe because it's more comfortable for me and my own personal understanding. Nevertheless, these words I read everyday. I find they serve as a reminder to allow me to move on and past everything with a lot more ease, more than most I know. To have an understanding that change is constant. Change is not going anywhere, it will always be. So in that, just as I move forward and accept change I also accept and welcome opportunity, understanding and learning. In essence, I live in a constant state of being teachable, regardless of what I think I know I continue to explore. The words quoted above were grounded within me and were apart of me long before I first read them. But somehow seeing them written within pages made me that much "stronger" because I knew I was not alone in my feelings and understanding of existence. I put stronger in quotations marks to serve as an understanding that just because it's done and can be done doesn't make it easy.

I could write forever on this subject at hand but my last and final thing I wish to share and express is this particular blog post is this:

"You are precisely as big as what you love and precisely as small as what you allow to annoy you."

Keep moving, keep dreaming, keep growing and push thru the storms. Let go, learn, create and know that tough times are just a way to make you pay attention to the things that you need to change to get where you are going...and baby let me tell you, you can get there for sure!
