HOW TO CREATE A SELFIE SERIES
Everyone is getting ready for the holiday season but if you're anything like me, there are sure to be moments of boredom in-between. So why not pick up your phone or camera a make something that can last a lifetime!!! This is a little something I like to call a "SELFIE SERIES"!
SO WHAT IS A SELFIE SERIES?
A "Selfie Series", is group of pictures you take of yourself, by yourself and usually in one outfit, creating a story through the photos. I came up with this idea sometime ago earlier this year in the late summer, when I purchased a robe from Zara. One day I was inspired to take pictures of myself with the robe draped over my head and body. Creating some super cool dark photos that somehow still had such great amounts of light within them as well! The robe has this really cool dark but bright floral print that still allowed light to peek thru. In the end I named the series "Beneath The Bloom", you can check out more about that series here!
BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS NEW SERIES!!!
Last week I came home from work, the weather outside was super cold. Usually when I walk into my home I take off everything and head straight to the shower to relax and warm up. But, this day I kept my coat on and walked into my home office space and seen my camera. I decide to pick it up, turn on my studio lights and take some pics.
HERE IS HOW THOSE PHOTOS TURNED OUT
After taking the photos, the next day I selected and grouped together my favorites of the photos. After editing them a bit, I put them side by side on my computer screen and saw the story within the photos!
WHAT WAS THE STORY?!?
Check out the video below to see both the final Selfie Series video as well as the meaning behind it. And i'd love it if you leave a comment on my Youtube video to let me know what you think about the concept! If you decide to do your own Selfie Series share it with me via email at email@example.com or tag me in the photos on Instagram! I hope you enjoy the video and I cant wait to see your Selfie Series too!!!
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
